Safe and compact energy storage solutions
About Lehmann Marine GmbH
Lehmann Marine is a German technology leader in maritime LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery systems. Founded in 2016 as the battery department within Becker Marine Systems GmbH and independent since 2022, we develop and manufacture advanced energy storage solutions. Our mission: combine engineering excellence with sustainability and safety. With more than 100 projects currently underway, Lehmann Marine is driving the electrification of shipping. Our products: • AQUBE – water-cooled, designed for demanding 2C operations such as peak shaving and emergency power. AQUBE ensures superior thermal performance and fast charge/discharge capability for high-power environments. • CUBE – air-cooled, optimised for up to 1C applications. Its compact design and innovative cooling guarantee uniform temperature distribution and long cycle life – ideal for ferries, yachts, and workboats. Both systems use inherently safe LFP cell technology, free from cobalt and nickel, supporting a sustainable supply chain and >90% recyclability. Type approvals from DNV, BV, LR, and RINA confirm compliance with the highest safety standards. Modular architecture enables scalability from a few kWh to several MWh, with voltages up to 1,000 VDC. Since Sunlight Group acquired a majority stake in 2025, Lehmann Marine has scaled projects to multi-megawatt levels and expanded globally. Recent contracts include large installations for fish-farm vessels in Norway, retrofits for ferries, and solutions for hydrogen-powered ships and megayachts. Lehmann Marine is more than a supplier – we are an enabler of maritime electrification. By combining proven technology, rapid innovation, and a commitment to safety, we help shipowners achieve zero-emission goals.
