About Lichen

A hot day at a German worksite triggers a legal duty. ASR A3.5 sets the thresholds: 26, 30, 35 degrees. ArbSchG makes the employer responsible for organizing protection and proving it happened. Most companies have the plan. Almost none can show the execution: who did what, when, at which site. Since 2026, authorities must inspect at least 5% of establishments every year (§21 ArbSchG), so that gap now surfaces on a schedule. Lichen closes it. A heat warning arrives, measures route to each site, responsible people confirm, everything is timestamped. The result is an audit file an inspector accepts, built while the work happens instead of reconstructed after the request. We're an early-stage Berlin company opening 2026 pilots with German employers running logistics, production, and outdoor work. If you carry the safety duty at a multi-site company, we want to learn from you before we finish building. Der Duty Check fasst auf einer Seite zusammen, was Arbeitgeber bei 26, 30 und 35 Grad schulden und was ein Prüfer sehen will: lichen-health.tech
