About Line by Line Learning

Line by Line is a language-learning product built around reading, listening, and writing. You learn by reading stories you know and love in the language you're learning. The collection of stories is built from classic, public-domain books, rewritten in clear, modern language so they read naturally today — and shaped to your level, from near-beginner to advanced. Each story is shown a line at a time: a sentence in the language you're learning, then the same sentence in your own. The thinking behind it is simple: we hold on to words we meet inside a story we care about far better than words drilled in isolation, and the practice we actually keep is the only one that does anything over time. So the aim is a daily reading habit calm enough to survive a busy life and good enough that we come back to it because we want to.
