Making a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales
About Lingen Davies Cancer Support
Our aim at Lingen Davies Cancer Fund is to support local cancer services ensuring people can access the best cancer care and services locally. We strive to make a positive difference to lives affected by cancer in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales. The funds raised by our charity support cancer prevention programmes, help raise awareness about cancer in the wider community, and deliver projects that help people to live well with or beyond cancer. We fund equipment, buildings and people to make early cancer diagnoses, treatment and support quicker and even more effective. Recent funding projects include the creation of additional clinic space within the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre, new equipment to benefit dermatology patients, those going through chemotherapy, and improved technologies to assist in radiotherapy planning and delivery. In the community we fund the excellent iCan programme - a cancer rehabilitation programme which is free for all to access. Since its introduction in 2021 the service has supported more than 400 people.
