In 1998 inventor Walter Boyd discovered that happy, comfortable cows produce more milk—sparking his invention of the High-Volume, Low-Speed (HVLS) ceiling fan. That innovation led to the launch of MacroAir Technologies and the birth of an entirely new HVLS industry. Walter’s son, Eddie Boyd, led the company for over 20 years before passing the baton to the third generation—his daughters, Jaylin and Sheila.
