Magellan International School is an independent, secular, Spanish immersion International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Austin, Texas, serving students from preschool through high school. Founded in 2009, Magellan prepares the next generation of innovative, globally minded, culturally curious students who thrive with purpose and contribute to a better future for us all. Magellan is the only secular, independent school in the nation to offer the full International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum in both Spanish and English, including the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Program (DP). Our students benefit from a bilingual, inquiry-based education that develops academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, intercultural understanding, and the confidence to lead in an increasingly interconnected world. In high school, students may pursue the IB Diploma Program, the Global Impact Diploma (GID), or a combination of both, preparing them for success in college and beyond.
