About Making Sense CIO

Making Sense is an artist-led charity revolutionising how people experience creativity within cultural and care institutions. Through our multi sensory approach, we offer bespoke workshops, events, training, and interpretation services. Our mission is to ensure cultural experiences are accessible to everyone in all settings, from babies and toddlers in galleries to older people with dementia in care homes. Partnering with arts, heritage, care and cultural organisations, Making Sense incorporates multi sensory elements that bring memories and stories to life in fresh and engaging ways, fostering a deeper connection with the past and present. We work across the spectrum of roles needed – from consultancy and project management to facilitating individual sessions – at all times guiding the creation and delivery of appropriate and effective resources, installations, exhibitions, and workshops. Making Sense meets people where they are, bringing creativity and culture into their lives through in-person sessions as well as sensory parcels delivered into their homes.
