Children’s Hospital New Orleans is celebrating a new chapter and name as Manning Family Children's!
About Manning Family Children's
Children’s Hospital New Orleans is celebrating a new name and chapter as we proudly become Manning Family Children’s. With an unwavering commitment to child health, Children’s has proudly served as the Gulf South’s only, freestanding, comprehensive children’s hospital for 70 years – transforming and saving countless lives since we first opened our doors in 1955. Our transformational new partnership with the Manning family – Olivia, Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli - will have a lasting impact on children and families not just in Louisiana, but far beyond, marking a pivotal new chapter in our 70-year legacy. With a long-term, transformational commitment, the Manning family will help amplify our vision to make Louisiana a national leader in child health. Manning Family Children’s is a 263-bed, not-for-profit pediatric medical center offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services for children from birth to 21 years. We are proud to provide the highest level of care for children from across Louisiana, across the Gulf South, and far beyond – with more than 40 pediatric subspecialties, 600 pediatric-trained providers and 3,000 employees solely dedicated to the care of kids. Just last year, we proudly cared for 585,000 children – the most ever in our history – and regardless of a family’s ability to pay. In 2024, our expert team provided more than 275,000 clinic visits, 64,354 ER visits, and performed 13,265 surgical cases. Our helicopter, Abby, brought 331 patients from across the state and region to Children's to receive vital critical care services. Critical care is provided in our 36-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), 17-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and 28-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). Children's nationally-ranked Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders provides expert care for children facing a broad range of childhood cancers and blood disorders, including stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies.
