The MB Centre’s story began in 2003 with the introduction of the Motor Vehicle Block Exemption Regulation, which meant that vehicles could be maintained outside of the dealer network without invalidating the manufacturer’s warranty. With that in mind, MB Centre’s Company Director Nick Winter, left Mercedes-Benz of Nottingham formally B&K Thomas Ltd (Nottingham’s main dealership for over 50 years) with the intention to offer Mercedes-Benz customers a realistic alternative to the main dealer with the ability to offer diagnostic and complex work which no other independent specialists in Nottingham could. As part of a partnership, Mercedes First Ltd was created. In 2005 both business partners parted ways in order to pursue different visions. Nick was determined to offer customers everything that the main dealership could offer without the heavy price tag, and so opened MB Centre Ltd which is where we are today. Our business was originally staffed wholly with ex B&K Thomas employees, many of whom have since retired, yet ongoing investment in training and equipment has ensured that we have continued to remain up to date with technology and our staff are fully trained on Mercedes Benz vehicles. We are now lucky enough to have the Thomas family as our customers. In 2008 the MB Centre moved to larger premises with 8 ramps and a dedicated commercial workshop. In 2022 we purchased a further 6500 square foot of workshop space giving us the opportunity to grow and increase our services. Experts in Mercedes-Benz & Smart servicing. The MB Centre is the largest and most experienced independent Mercedes-Benz specialist in the area. We provide an unrivalled service from a minor maintenance service on a new A-Class, to a complete engine rebuild on a classic of yesterday. Whilst many other independent garages have attempted to imitate our success and brand their establishments with a similar title, we operate solely from our one branch and are not affiliated with any other garages.
