The MEA Institute for Strategic Studies
Advancing rigorous research and inclusive dialogue across the Middle East and Africa.
About The MEA Institute for Strategic Studies
The MEA (Middle East & Africa) Institute for Strategic Studies is an independent, youth-led think tank focused on the Middle East and Africa. The Institute produces rigorous, evidence-based research through an intergenerational and cross-regional analytical lens. Its work is grounded in integrity, intellectual independence, and a commitment to meaningful impact. More than a research institution, the MEA Institute serves as a multidimensional platform for rethinking how the Middle East and Africa are understood and engaged globally. Through in-depth economic, geopolitical, and security analysis, the Institute informs policy, fosters dialogue, and engages across academic, policy, private, and civil society spheres. Operating at the intersection of research and engagement, the Institute contributes to public discourse while supporting more informed, forward-looking decision-making. The Middle East and Africa are entering a defining 21st-century moment shaped by demographic transformation, technological change, and shifting global power dynamics. In this context, youth inclusion is not optional - it is essential. By elevating evidence-based ideas and empowering emerging leaders, the MEA Institute is building a global community grounded in bold thinking and a shared commitment to impact. As a leading youth-led think tank, the Institute advances new perspectives on the region’s most pressing challenges - recognising that young people are not future stakeholders, but present leaders.
