About Medartis
At Medartis, we develop, manufacture and distribute titanium screws and plates, surgical instruments and system solutions for fracture fixation. Headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, our company is represented worldwide through 12 subsidiaries and a wide distributor network. We place the highest priority on maintaining stringent quality standards, continuous development and innovation, including comprehensive service provision for physicians, operating-room (OR) staff and patients. Our long-term customer relations based on partnerships have formed the foundation for our sustainable success since the company’s founding. Dr. h.c. Thomas Straumann founded Medartis in 1997 and returned to the field of osteosynthesis in cranio-maxillofacial surgery. Our product portfolio was expanded in 2004 with the APTUS Hand and Distal Radius systems. This paved the way for a successful entry into orthopedics. All Medartis products are developed in close consultation with hand and traumatology specialists as well as experienced OR teams. Our goal is to continually improve early functional rehabilitation through our high-quality products and exclusively developed technologies.
