Meet Kaz is a public benefit company helping families navigate the complex world of special education. Through our chat-based AI assistant, parents get plain-language answers to tough questions about evaluations, IEPs, accommodations, and their child’s rights — available anytime, in English or Spanish. We partner with community organizations, schools, and advocacy groups to provide families with clear guidance, localized resources, and the confidence to move forward. For parents, Kaz feels like having an experienced caseworker in your pocket. For organizations, it extends capacity — meeting families where they are and ensuring no parent feels alone in the process. Founded by a parent with lived experience navigating the system, our mission is to close the information gap, empower families, and build stronger school partnerships. Starting in San Antonio, we’re building a model that can support families nationwide.
