Men In Automotive
A safe haven for men In automotive to connect, share, and overcome the battles we don't talk about. Mates Really Matter!
About Men In Automotive
Men in Automotive started with a simple truth: too many good men are carrying more than they let on. In an industry built on performance, pressure, and pushing through, there isn’t always space to talk about what’s really going on. So we keep it in. We deal with it ourselves. We wait until things get harder than they need to be. This isn’t about that. Men in Automotive is a peer-led movement grounded in connection, mateship, and real conversation. It’s about creating space — whether that’s over a coffee, during a shared experience, or in a quiet moment — where men can show up as they are, without judgement. Founded by Allan Cooper, this initiative comes from lived experience. After years of navigating his own mental health journey, Allan chose to speak openly — and in doing so, discovered how many others were facing the same battles, often in silence. What followed was simple, but powerful: conversations, connection, and the reminder that no one has to go it alone. This isn’t therapy. It’s not a program. And it’s not about labels. It’s about mental fitness. It’s about resilience. It’s about looking out for each other. Support doesn’t come in one form. Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s just knowing someone is there. Sometimes it’s the encouragement to take the next step and seek help when it’s needed. At its core, this is about mates helping mates. We’re building a community across the automotive industry — one conversation, one connection, one city at a time — with a shared goal: to make sure no one feels isolated or goes MIA. Because Mates Really Matter.
