About Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS)

MERICS is the leading European think tank on China. Since its foundation in 2013, it has driven China policy debates and supported senior public and private sector decision-makers across Europe, focused on its goal of “Getting China right”. Employing more than 40 staffers from all over Europe, with a range of scientific qualifications and methodological skills, MERICS is currently the largest European institute focusing solely on the analysis of contemporary China and its relations with Europe and the wider world.
