About Minds Matter NYC

NYC's low-income students face systemic barriers to the colleges and careers of their dreams. Minds Matter NYC levels the playing field for these students through a comprehensive, seven-year journey guiding them from their sophomore year of high school and into meaningful careers. Since 1991, 100% of more than 1,500 students have enrolled in their best-fit college, including top school like Harvard, Yale, Columbia, MIT, and many more. Through long-term mentorship, rigorous test preparation, campus experiences, summer programs, corporate site visits, and college and career coaching, we provide the tools students need to graduate college and enter the workplace with the confidence and skills that not only serve them but their communities, too, creating a loop of social mobility and economic security.
