Misfits is a London-based production company creating premium, cinematic documentaries for global audiences. From Sundance premieres to BAFTA and Emmy wins, our films are crafted for scale, designed to feel as powerful in a theatre as they do on the world’s leading streaming platforms. We develop a small number of projects each year: stories with ambition, complexity and cultural weight. Our recent feature Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim before securing a landmark $15 million sale. The film screened in over 40 countries and went on to win the BAFTA, Critics’ Choice and Producers Guild Awards for Best Documentary. Recognised by Screen Daily as one of the UK’s leading documentary production companies, we work with partners including Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Sky, Universal, Fremantle, CNN, Lionsgate and Neon.
