About MIT Energy and Climate
The MIT Office of the Vice President for Energy and Climate serves as the front door to MIT’s energy and climate efforts—connecting five schools, one college, and numerous centers and institutes to accelerate breakthroughs and drive impact. More than 300 faculty across nearly every academic department are actively advancing technologies, policies, and systems in energy and climate. Yet the scale and urgency of today’s challenge demand greater speed, ambition, and more interconnected approaches to break down silos, spark cross-MIT collaboration, and scale practical solutions in partnership with external stakeholders. The OVPEC drives research, education, and translation to ensure discoveries move rapidly from lab to real-world impact.
