About MSA architecture + design
MSA Architecture + Design is an Oakland-based, women-owned architecture and interior design firm with 50 years of experience shaping spaces across the Bay Area, California, and throughout the country. We are a diverse team of architects, designers, project managers, and technical specialists who bring creative vision and rigorous execution to every project — from large-scale branded rollouts to precise, small-scale interventions. Our work spans retail, workplace, hospitality, and specialty commercial environments, and we're known for delivering cohesive, high-quality results on time and on budget. What sets MSA apart is the way we work. We partner closely with our clients — listening, communicating clearly, and adapting to the unique demands of each project. Those relationships aren't transactional. Many have lasted decades, built on trust, reliability, and a consistent commitment to our clients' success. Our portfolio reflects the range and caliber of that work. MSA has partnered with Google, Tesla, Facebook, Starbucks, WeWork, Barry's Bootcamp, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, CBRE, Sutter Health, UCSF, Pet Food Express, Spring Fertility, Golden Gate National Parks, and many more. Our mission: to deliver outstanding architecture and design services through an efficient process, cost-sensitive solutions, and exceptional client care.
