🏅 12 DAYS – 7,500 ATHLETES – 100 COUNTRIES – 18 SPORTS 🏅 In July 2029, North Carolina will host the largest international student-athlete sporting event in the world: The FISU World University Games. Over 12 days, the world’s top university athletes (ages 17–25) will compete in sports such as archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, diving, fencing, gymnastics, martial arts, rugby, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and water polo — drawing 600,000+ spectators, reaching 300M+ viewers worldwide, and generating an estimated $350M in economic impact for the state. The Games will span nine host cities across North Carolina including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Elon, and Charlotte.
