About EAI: Electricity Association of Ireland

EAI is the representative body for the electricity industry on the island of Ireland. Our membership comprises utilities that represent 90% of generation and retail business activities and 100% of distribution within the market. EAI’s vision is a sustainable future powered by electricity. We promote our vision through constructive engagement with key policy, regulatory, technology and academic stakeholders both at domestic and EU levels. We also represent the all island electricity sector at Eurelectric, the sector association representing the common interests of the electricity industry in Europe. Within the island and in the EU, we work towards the objective of a competitive electricity market supporting necessary investment in a coherent policy context to achieve national government and EU objectives of energy security, decarbonisation and cost-competitiveness.
