Neurological Recovery Reimagined The Neuro Recovery Institute (NRI) is a specialized neuro-rehabilitation center dedicated to helping stroke survivors and individuals with neurological injury regain mobility, balance, and functional independence. NRI was created with a simple premise: neurological recovery should not stop when traditional rehabilitation ends. Many patients are told they have plateaued despite continuing functional limitations. NRI provides an alternative pathway designed to stimulate further neurological improvement through intensive, whole-body neuromotor training. Our programs are built around the Outbounder Advanced Rehabilitation System (ARS), an innovative rehabilitation platform designed to enable safe, high-repetition movement training that supports neuroplastic recovery. The system allows patients to practice coordinated motor patterns in a structured environment with reduced fall risk while engaging large-scale functional movement. The concept for NRI was inspired by the experience of Dr. Dipannita Basu, whose determination to exceed the limits of her medical prognosis demonstrated the potential for meaningful recovery long after conventional expectations. Her journey continues to inspire NRI’s mission to challenge assumptions about neurological recovery. NRI centers are designed as boutique, technology-enabled rehabilitation studios, providing a supportive environment where patients can continue rebuilding strength, mobility, and confidence after conventional therapy has ended. The first Neuro Recovery Institute center is in Montclair, Southern California and will be followed by a network of centers across the Greater LA Metro Area.
