About NGO Girls
Our mission: Girls and women in Ukraine plan all pregnancies, build their life strategies, and are self-reliant and satisfied. We work across mental health support, GBV prevention and response, sex education, humanitarian assistance for IDPs and war-affected communities, child protection, and advocacy for localization of humanitarian response and women's rights on the global stage. We conduct nationally representative research on gender equality and mental health and represent Ukraine's interests at the international level. Today, NGO Girls has 500 people on its team, an annual budget of $6 million, 13 safe spaces and 24 mobile teams across Ukraine. In 2024, our founder, Yuliya Sporysh, received the Anne Klein Women's Award. We are an active member of the Humanitarian NGO Platform and co-founder of the Alliance of Ukrainian CSOs. We collaborate with the Right to Protection Charitable Fund, the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations, the Platform of Humanitarian NGOs in Ukraine, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
