About New Hampshire Department of Business & Economic Affairs
The NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs (BEA) is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality of the State and promoting it as a destination to live, work, and visit. Established in 2017, the BEA is a cabinet-level agency that leads New Hampshire’s pro-growth state policy efforts for business recruitment, retention, and expansion; workforce development; international commerce; tourism promotion; and overall economic development statewide. Our responsive staff links businesses and manufacturers to innovative programs and services to help them grow and prosper as well as those considering relocation to or expansion into the Granite State. The majority of our programs and services are provided at no cost. In addition to assisting in areas ranging from licensing and financing to permitting and workforce training, the Division of Economic Development staff work with federal, regional, local, and other state agencies and private sector partners to deliver services.
