About North East Hotels Association

The North East Hotels Association is one of the largest of its kind in the region and represents almost 50 member hotels in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley. Our members include independent hotels and chain hotels located in city centres as well as rural and coastal settings. With over 5,000 bedrooms members attract leisure, business, conference and events business and contributes significantly to the regional economy. Total annual sales are over £200 million with spending power on goods and services, many supporting local businesses, close to £80 million. Nearly 3,000 full-time equivalent jobs are supported across all aspects of the sector and we work with local education providers to attract entry level young graduates. We meet regularly throughout the year to discuss current matters in the hospitality sector and have a guest speaker programme to engage our members with partners, suppliers, industry bodies and local government.
