The Organisational Biophysics Institute (OBP Institute) is an online, non-profit research and governance initiative established by P2O Consulting Ltd. The Institute exists to advance scientific, ethical, and biophysical standards for complex human enterprises. For over a century, management theory has treated companies as static machines—relying on mechanical metaphors of gears, levers, and rigid structural alignment. Terms which are still with us today. Organisational Biophysics (OBP) marks a fundamental shift: managing organisations as open, living, thermodynamic systems bound by biological realities.
