About Ohio Department of Agriculture
At the Ohio Department of Agriculture, we work every day to protect the public and safeguard the state’s plants and animals, while at the same time allowing responsible agricultural production to thrive. With a staff of approximately 430, ODA administers numerous regulatory, food safety, consumer protection, plant health and animal care programs for the benefit of all Ohioans. The department also helps create greater economic opportunity for Ohio’s farmers and processors, and works to preserve and enhance Ohio’s resources.
