About Part of the Solution

Business is impact. What a company sells, sources, builds and enables changes people's lives, for better or worse. POTS was founded in 2020 out of that conviction. Our clients want to achieve change that reaches well beyond their own company. Success depends on people and organisations who do not work for them: suppliers, communities, authorities, health systems, patients. That is where we come in. We work in three areas: responsible sourcing, community relations, and access to medicines. A core team in Berlin, more than 100 experts in over 45 countries. What that looks like in practice: With the Otto Group we built ScaleZero, a supplier programme in Bangladesh's textile sector whose measures can save thousands of tonnes of CO2e a year. In Serbia, automotive suppliers had to meet new sustainability requirements from their EU customers, with no local advisers to turn to. We trained 15 Serbian consultants and built a marketplace that connects them to the suppliers. In Ghana, a public-private partnership we built for a large pharmaceutical company gave more than 197,000 men better access to prostate cancer screening. Eight district hospitals now offer it permanently. Our clients are global companies in automotive, pharma, mining, retail, textile and energy, alongside UN organisations and development cooperation.
