The Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians (PACEP) is a state chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), a medical society that has represented physicians specializing in emergency medicine since 1971. PACEP is committed to advancing emergency care through continuing education, research, and public education.​ The vision of the Pennsylvania College is to: Advocate: ►For the primary role of the emergency physician in the delivery of emergency medical care to all Pennsylvanians, ►For the advancement of emergency medicine as an essential service in the health care system, and ►For the promotion of public health in the Commonwealth; Educate: ►Emergency physicians and trainees in emergency medicine in Pennsylvania through innovative programs that advance the delivery of emergency medical care in the Commonwealth and ►The public of the Commonwealth on the central role of emergency physicians in the delivery of emergency care; Lead: ►In the advancement of medical education and scholarship in emergency medicine in the Commonwealth, ►In the professional development and wellness of emergency physicians, and ►In the state EMS system through emergency physician expertise.
