Interdisciplinary research which transforms end-of-life and bereavement care, from clinical settings to wider society.
About Palliative and End of Life Care (PEoLC) Research Group, Bristol
We are a multi-disciplinary team of researchers at the University of Bristol, with close links to other higher education institutions and organisations in the South West. Our vision is a society where every person can live well until the end of life, where dying, death, and bereavement are understood as human experiences rather than solely medical events, and where compassionate, equitable palliative and end-of-life care and bereavement support are accessible to all. Our research contributes to a society that supports individuals, families, and communities across the life course and in all care settings. Our mission is to understand and improve the lived experience of serious illness, dying and grieving, through research which transforms palliative, end-of-life and bereavement care - from clinical settings to the wider health system and society.
