Peripear Ltd
Patented wearable birthtech designed to reduce perineal tearing. Backed by Innovate UK. FDA 510(k) pathway confirmed.
About Peripear Ltd
Perineal tearing affects up to 90% of women who give birth vaginally. It's painful, costly, estimated at over $10 billion annually in the US alone, and for too long it's been treated as an inevitable part of childbirth. We don't accept that. Peripear is developing a wearable medical device that translates an evidence-based midwifery intervention, warm compress application during the second stage of labour, into a consistent, hands-free clinical tool designed to work at the exact moment tearing most commonly occurs. Behind Peripear are two founders with complementary depth. Nina brings 14 years of NHS and private midwifery practice, with direct experience of the clinical gap this device is designed to close. Eviatar brings over a decade of healthtech leadership — he's raised more than $75M and scaled medtech companies from concept to market as CXO, backed by a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a visiting scholarship at MIT. We're building toward US hospital pilots, clinical evidence generation, and long-term integration into standard perinatal care. If you're an investor, clinical innovator, or health system leader who believes maternity care deserves better tools, we'd always welcome a conversation.
