About Philadelphia Corporation for Aging
Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) funds, plans and coordinates programs and services that help older Philadelphians and adults with disabilities achieve their maximum levels of health, independence and productivity. Through its network of community partners, PCA touches the lives of more than 140,000 individuals each year. Services supported by PCA include older adult community centers; congregate and home-delivered meals; transportation; housing repairs and modifications; legal services; health insurance counseling; in-home care; caregiver support; and older adult protective services. Established in 1973, PCA is a private, nonprofit organization and Philadelphia County's designated Area Agency on Aging. PCA partners with approximately 200 providers to deliver more than 30 person-centered programs and services throughout the city. PCA is funded primarily through the Older Americans Act, Medical Assistance and Pennsylvania Lottery funds administered through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging. As one of the region's largest nonprofit organizations, PCA employs hundreds of professionals in social work, information technology, support services, administration and other fields.
