About Productive Machines
Productive Machines was born out of a decade of cutting-edge research at the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). An AMRC case study showed up to ✨50% reduction in cycle time✨ using scientific methods. Our mission is clear: to eliminate the guesswork in machining by empowering manufacturers with autonomous, physics-based software that delivers disruptive results. SenseNC® (Use this registered sign) simulates the complex dynamics of machining processes, so you don’t have to. With our flagship products, SenseNC® Feeds and SenseNC® Finesse, manufacturers can autonomously optimize feed rates and spindle speeds based on mechanical and dynamics loading in the process. The result? Reduced cycle times, improved tool life, better part quality, and increased production capacity—without relying on expert users. We work closely with manufacturers in industries including aerospace, automotive, medical devices, die & mold, and in general precision machining industries. Whether you're machining aluminum or hard metals, our software adapts to your process and enhances its performance. 📍 Headquartered in Sheffield, United Kingdom, Productive Machines is proudly helping build a smarter, more resilient future for manufacturing—one toolpath at a time.
