SAYS WHO?! is a storytelling platform reframing how (dis)ability is perceived in sports and culture. The project began after spending time with a group of competitive powerlifters with Down syndrome and their families — athletes whose stories revealed a powerful gap between how the world sees them and who they actually are. Instead of focusing on disability, SAYS WHO?! centers what truly defines these athletes: competition, discipline, and the pursuit of strength. What started as a single idea has evolved into a multimedia storytelling platform that includes documentary storytelling, digital content, and a podcast designed to bring these voices and stories to a global audience. At its core, SAYS WHO?! challenges outdated narratives and invites the world to see ability through a new lens. Because athletes should be defined by what they can do — not by what others assume they cannot.
