Retail Women in Tech
We are a global nonprofit working to change who has access, who advances, and who shapes the future of retail.
About Retail Women in Tech
RWIT was born from a simple truth: women power retail’s workforce and purchasing decisions, yet remain underrepresented in leadership roles across all sectors of our industry. So we’re building something different. Not another paywalled networking group, but a nonprofit reshaping how retail builds community to grow careers, bridging people, pathways, and purpose. We unite women, and the allies who champion them, at every career stage to build the next generation of leaders through belonging, mentorship, visibility, and opportunity. Without a new system for leadership development and access, the industry’s pipeline breaks. RWIT exists to rebuild it. How we making a difference. And you can too. 1:1 connections are our superpower: -Local: City-based connectors host in-person gatherings and volunteer days. -College: Virtual & campus events with connectors and the NRF Foundation. -Function: Role-based circles & roundtables for shared learning and exploration. -Industry Events: Meetups at retail conferences. -Connections: Making it easier to find people and new opportunities. Giving back is how we grow: -Mentorship: Curated mentor–mentee cohorts, twice yearly. -Internships: Hands-on experience building a purpose-driven organization. -Career Enablement: Bi-weekly sessions to accelerate personal & professional growth. People, not profiles: -Women to Watch: Annual awards celebrating cross-sector talent. -Power of WE: A series elevating stories from our community. -Allyship in Action: Honoring allies who open doors. -Industry Benchmarks: Dashboards tracking women’s representation and progress. We are thrilled to have you be a part of what we're all building together! We welcome you to join our forever-free community. https://retailwomenintech.org/
