Sonnenberg Design helps small California organizations turn their websites into operating systems for their business. We build and run brand systems for associations, service businesses, and independent operators across the state. WordPress, Novi AMS, and Shopify are our home turf. Founded in 2016 in Ladera Ranch by Aaron Sonnenberg after 15 years of in-house design work, SD reached its 10-year mark in 2026 with a deliberate operating shift: small enough to stay close to every client, AI-augmented enough to deliver work that used to require a 10-person agency. What we make: • Brand systems (identity, visual language, voice) that don't fall apart the moment a junior designer touches them • Websites built on solid platforms, maintained by us, not handed off • Internal tools (automations, dashboards, custom plugins) that compound the value of the brand work over time • Block-funded engagements and monthly retainers built for long relationships, not project-and-go We work in California. Most of our clients are within a 100-mile drive of our studio. We pick clients who want a partner more than a vendor. Sonnenberg Design is run by Aaron Sonnenberg with Claude as operations partner.
