South Yorkshire Black Tech Expo #SYBTE The South Yorkshire Black Tech Expo (SY BTE) exists to drive inclusive innovation, economic equity, and digital empowerment for Black tech entrepreneurs and communities across South Yorkshire. We provide a platform to showcase Black excellence in technology, foster meaningful partnerships, and close opportunity gaps through curated events, mentorship, ecosystem development, and global connectivity. Our Programs & Impact 250+ attendees at our inaugural Expo, with 8,000+ virtual participants globally 80% of attendees reported increased confidence and access to tech-related opportunities 15+ strategic partnerships across academia, industry, and grassroots communities 12 early-stage Black founders supported through pilot mentorship, funding readiness, and exposure programs 8 local schools engaged through youth-centered digital skills initiatives Success Story Spotlight We’re proud to have supported alumni like a Black female founder from Sheffield, who went on to secure seed funding for her EdTech startup after pitching at our Expo. Our Mission To unlock the full potential of Black tech talent by creating equitable pathways, nurturing innovation, and scaling sustainable ventures led by underrepresented founders in South Yorkshire.
