With 25+ years of experience as a commercial and leadership development partner in Fortune 500 companies, Steve Disselhorst works with organizations to support their leaders and teams to transform and achieve greater leadership impact and overall results. Throughout his career, Steve held significant leadership roles, overseeing more than 100 employees and leading a management team of seven. With over 17 years of experience at Genentech and Abbott Laboratories, he held key positions across multiple functions, including Business Operations (Sales, Marketing, Contracts, and Pricing) and Human Resources (Leadership Development and Diversity & Inclusion Consulting). His success across these roles was driven by a consistent ability to lead effectively and build strong, trusting relationships. Steve started his corporate career at Abbott as an account manager, overseeing some of the most prestigious and complex customer relationships on the West Coast, including UCSF, Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter Health. He received All-Star awards for top sales performance for four consecutive years. After earning his MBA in General Management and Marketing, Steve moved into marketing leadership roles, notably serving as Abbott’s marketing lead for Walmart’s private-label blood glucose monitoring business. In 2019, Steve launched his firm to create a more direct and meaningful impact on individuals, teams, and organizations. He is a trained and certified professional coach through the Co-Active Training Institute and holds a PCC credential from the International Coaching Federation. In addition to his coaching credentials, Steve is trained and certified in several respected industry assessments, combining quantitative tools with in-depth qualitative feedback to support both talent development and team effectiveness.
