The local transcription app for meetings, dictation and recordings
About talat
Are your meetings really private? If you spend any meaningful time in meetings, a good meeting notes app is a game changer. You stop worrying about capturing everything and you actually listen to people. Granola, Fireflies, Otter - they're all valued at over a billion dollars each. It's a massive industry, and for good reason; these tools are really useful. But here's the thing they all have in common: every word spoken in your private meetings gets sent to their servers. Every frame of audio from your mic, from everyone else on the call - processed and stored in the cloud. That's every private conversation, every sensitive discussion, every candid opinion you've ever shared on a call; sitting on someone else's infrastructure, governed by someone else's privacy policy. Is that a risk you're comfortable with? Is it a risk your business is comfortable with? Your computer can do all of this locally. Every bit of it. We've built an app called talat that does exactly that. It runs entirely on your device, your audio never goes anywhere, you own everything, and you buy it once.
