The Cilantro Diaries Podcast
Love your city, make it better. The people quietly building San Antonio.
About The Cilantro Diaries Podcast
The Cilantro Diaries is a podcast about the people quietly making their city better, and what the rest of us can learn from them. Host Lorenzo Gomez III goes out and finds cool people doing cool things, and introduces them to more San Antonians. Founders, operators, university presidents, and the occasional elected official. No jargon. No press release answers. If a term needs explaining, we stop and explain it. The stories come from San Antonio. The idea travels anywhere. Wherever you are, and however you can, love your city and make it better. Guests have included Spurs executive Bobby Perez, UT San Antonio president Taylor Eighmy, Chad Carey of Empty Stomach Group, David Adelman, Jim Perschbach of Port San Antonio, and Andres Andujar of Hemisfair. The show is a long form extension of Lorenzo's best selling memoir of the same name. Since launching on April 3, 2025 it has reached more than 1.2 million people. Subscribe on YouTube or Spotify so you do not miss an episode. And if you want to be an awesome human being about it, join our Patreon. Love your city, make it better.
