About The Cybersecurity Authority
Hey rock stars! Steve Deal here. Some people call me a cybersecurity consultant. Some call me a fractional CISO. Some even call me the cybersecurity rockstar (I may or may not have started that trend)! But most importantly, what I do is help businesses make sense of security and compliance. For years, I've worked with organizations navigating SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, CMMC, and other security requirements. I've helped companies move from uncertainty and overwhelm to clear plans and successful outcomes. What I've learned is this: Most companies don't need more cybersecurity. They need cybersecurity that makes sense for their business. That's why my approach focuses on practical solutions, sustainable processes, and clear communication—not fear tactics or unnecessary complexity. If you're responsible for cybersecurity, compliance, or IT strategy, I'm looking forward to sharing practical insights, lessons learned, and real-world advice. Thanks for following along! Stay tuned for more as I hope to make cybersecurity more understandable, relatable and reachable for you through my content online.
