If you have lost a “Star” on your team: 1) Do not depend on Job Boards alone. The likelihood of you finding the right mix of skills and personality is tough enough as it is. You will see a lot of responses from your local area which will be a waste of time. Chances are, your next hire is not surfing Job Boards, in your area, if he/she do not live there. 2) Partner with someone in your industry who can reach those who are not scouring the Job Boards. This person can present your story and they are likely not interviewing other places, so there may be less competition for that candidate. 3) This partner can also vet the candidates for fit, well before you ever see their resume, so your time is not wasted interviewing, it can be spent making money for your company.
