When Daniel Thwaites, a farmer’s son from the Lake District, founded a small Blackburn brewery in 1807, his appetite for adventure created something amazing. Our sixth-generation business still brews lovely beers, but we’ve become a family of hotels, spas, inns and pubs in extraordinary landscapes, cities and communities.
