The Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development (TCWD) connects health professionals to communities where care is needed most. We are committed to improving the health of Tennesseans by guiding healthcare workforce development in our state. Our work falls into 4 categories: • Recruitment and Incentive Programs • Allied Health • Nursing • Pipeline Programs Our History TCWD was founded as the Tennessee Rural Partnership in 2006 to recruit primary care physicians to rural and underserved areas. In 2018 we expanded our focus to include nurses and allied health professionals and increased our pipeline initiatives as the Tennessee Center for Health Workforce Development.
