The Women's Lived Experience Company. Transforming stories into intelligence.
About Under the Sisterhood
Under the Sisterhood is a social impact company powered by intergenerational storysharing. We elevate women’s lived experiences across health, identity, culture, and equity, bringing together voices from across generations and around the world. Often described as a living archive, the Smithsonian of women’s lived experiences, Under the Sisterhood preserves and amplifies stories that have long been overlooked, helping reshape how women see themselves and how the world understands women. At the heart of this work is listening. When women’s stories are seen, heard, and connected, they reveal patterns, insight, and the possibility for meaningful change. We launched Season One: Being a Woman in Today's World on Women’s Equality Day 2022 with 12 women, expanding to 40+ by International Women’s Month 2023. Season Two: Women’s March of Voices celebrated 31 sisters in 31 days, highlighting everyday women doing remarkable things. Season Three: Women Making the World Healthier showcased inspiring leaders in health and wellness. Season Four: Women March for Mental Wellness, celebrating 50 women. Season Five: Women's March for Change, featuring changemakers and trailblazers in every walk of life. In March 2023, we launched our not-for-profit arm, Sistergood, empowering women and girls in developing countries through facilitated learning, wellness journeys, and mentorship. In May 2024, we launched Under the Hood of Women’s Health, a first-of-its-kind platform addressing all things women’s health, from puberty to post-menopause, through authentic storysharing, expert insights, and community dialogue. With 80+ in-depth stories and 200+ shorts, it serves as a trusted resource to educate and empower women globally.
