About 29 Acres
Our mission is to elevate the quality of life for adults with neurodiversity by creating a dynamic housing community enriched with customized programming where every person will be empowered to live with purpose and joy. In order for this to be possible, 29 Acres uses an evidence-based approach in housing design and individualized supports to ensure meaningful growth in employment, independence and wellness while developing community, fostering friendships and a deep sense of belonging. The 29 Acres housing development is a safe and dynamic supported living community where adults with Autism (ASD) and other neurodiversity will live and be supported, enabling them to build relationships, feel value, success and happiness in their lives. Enrichment Services provides year round support services and programming for individuals living with autism or neurodiversity. It all starts with developing a comprehensive individualized life plan (ILP) for each client. Together with the client and their circle of support, Enrichment Services will develop goals, objectives and individualized teaching strategies that will serve as the roadmap for implementing the ILP. Transition Academy is a two-year residential program for young adults with ASD who are motivated to live independently in the near future. The three major components of this program include living in our transitional housing, learning crucial independent living and career readiness skills through our proven curriculum, and gaining work experience through internships and jobs. Our Employment Services assist clients 16+ with disabilities find competitive, integrated employment in Dallas, Denton and Collin County, offering on the job coaching support and interview preparation.
