AMERICAN Flow Control® is a division of the AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company. The AMERICAN Flow Control product offering includes the iconic American-Darling® and Waterous® brands of fire hydrants for municipal and industrial fire protection applications, gate valves 2”- 66” in diameter, check valves, indicator posts, tapping valves and sleeves, hydrant security, remote pressure monitoring technology and more. Established in 1991, AMERICAN Flow Control, became the valve and fire hydrant related business unit of the AMERICAN Cast Pipe Company. Today the company is one of the largest valve and hydrant producers for the water and wastewater industries. Its origins date back to the Darling Pump & Manufacturing Company, which was founded in 1888 and later became American-Darling Valve, and the Waterous Company which was founded in 1844.
