We design cloud production platforms, media servers and distribution systems for host broadcasters, rights holders, federations and production companies, helping them move live and non-live workflows to the cloud without compromising what happens on the day. Our work spans: • Cloud architecture for live production and host broadcast operations • Media supply chain design: acquisition, media servers, asset management, archive and distribution • Streaming and delivery: encoding, packaging, CDN and multi-CDN strategy • Platform strategy and technical due diligence Founded in 2026, based in Vancouver, working internationally. Arbutus was founded by Jan Devos, who spent four years at HBS, host broadcaster to some of the largest events in world sport, most recently as Head of Digital Technology, and before that was Lead Enterprise Architect at VRT.
