Argos Surface Technologies partners with the Salento Racing Team - Formula SAE Team, an Italian university team developing the first electric motorcycle.

Founded in 2020 with the ambitious goal of establishing a leading position in the industry, Argos Surface Technologies Group began with the acquisition of three major companies in the surface treatment and coating sector: Argos, Impreglon Italia and Aalberts. In 2021, the Group acquired the Emilia-Romagna-based companies TSM Srl and Lualma Anodica, followed in 2022 by Tec.Ri.Met., based in the Bergamo area. In 2023, the merger of Foresi, based in Mantua, and Rotostatic, based in Turin, into Argos ST Group was formally completed, while Galvanotecnica Salvatori Bologna was also acquired. In 2024, the Group acquired GM Cataforesi and the Turin-based company Sive. In 2025, Argos ST acquired a 70% stake in Ag Technical S.r.l., a company specialising in electroplating treatments. The primary mission of Argos ST Group is to offer the broadest range of advanced solutions in the field of surface treatments and industrial coatings for metals, plastics and carbon fibre. The Group aims to become a global provider of cutting-edge surface technology and to deliver integrated solutions across all stages of the supply process, including technical support and logistics services. Based on the solutions offered, the Group is organised into dedicated Business Units: Nickel Plating, Anodizing (technical, hard and decorative anodizing treatments), Electroplating (electroplating and zinc-nickel treatments), Industrial Coatings (cataphoresis, powder coating and liquid coating), and Polymers & Metals (metallization, polymer coatings and thermal spray coatings). With 15 operational sites across Lombardy, Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna, approximately 500 employees and revenues of around €80 million, Argos ST Group is able to develop tailor-made solutions for a wide range of industries and meet highly diverse application requirements.
