ASSP Long Beach is hosting an educational and networking event on September 17, 2026, featuring speakers Dr. Sheila Mallett-Smith and Jiles Smith II on PDR for the Construction Industry.

Founded in 1990, the Long Beach Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) continues to serve as a tremendous resource for the safety community. The Long Beach Chapter is as diverse as the incredible community it serves, with members who are new to the safety profession as well as those who are seasoned veterans. Our members represent many disciplines and include private sector, government, and non-profit organizations. Our Chapter continues to strive to provide all members with a wide array of support services and products, including educational resources, networking opportunities, CEUs, formal and informal training, ASP/CSP study groups, grants and scholarships, awards and recognition, publication opportunities, and so much more.
