About BE MORE PIRATE ☠️
Pirates didn’t just break the rules, they rewrote them. They didn’t just reject society, they reinvented it. They didn’t just tell tall tales, they told a story that shook the whole world. They faced down a self-interested establishment, certain uncertainty, a broken system and industrial-scale disruption (sound familiar?), and then rebelled against an unfair world and changed it for good. Since Be More Pirate was published in 2018, we've worked with thousands of people in places like Nike, Netflix and the NHS, helping them to think like pirates and rewrite their own rules. We offer workshops, talks and training programmes that will help your team not just think beyond the map, but rethink the horizon they are sailing towards. We help leaders navigate uncertainty with the courage of a pirate captain, and support teams to become resilient, accountable crews driven by real purpose. In 2020 we published How to Be More Pirate which showcases how different companies and people have used pirate principles to turn their ship around. You can check out our podcast too for more stories from modern rule breakers What people have said: “Alex’s 'Be More Pirate' session was game changing. A masterclass in the power of storytelling to engage and energise an audience. Myself and the team all left re-energised. We’re now actively waving the pirate flag in the workplace." Helen Longland, St James' Place Wealth Management Be More Pirate turned our team into a crew, our leaders into captains, NOs into GOs and our values into a code of conduct that we hold each other accountable to’ -Crystal Eisinger, Strategy & Operations Lead, Google “Be More Pirate is a genuinely refreshing, entertaining and inspiring perspective on work, leadership and why we do what we do ... it’s a call for a more radical rethink of where we’re going wrong, and where we’re going next” Bruce Daisley, author and Host of the Number 1 Business Podcast Eat, Sleep, Work, Repeat.
